About EYSA

The Elkhorn Youth Sports Association (EYSA) was developed to work with other established youth sports programs throughout the local area and Elkhorn community through sports, education and extra-curricular activities. The EYSA works with these independent member programs to allow student-athletes to participate on youth sports teams, regardless of financial means, so that all children are provided an opportunity to develop life skills through sports.  EYSA helps promote these programs locally and publicly through the Elkhorn Youth Sports Association website.  Additionally, the EYSA works with the member programs to establish college scholarship funds and programs through the Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation scholarship program.

EYSA member programs are held to a high standard and must allow for opportunities that include a place for everyone to participate and succeed.  Our current member programs, encompassing boys and girls basketball, youth flag football and girls softball, offer programs, teams, and contacts that give all individuals the opportunity to develop those important life skills.

Our member programs are asked to provide the most cost-effective means for everyone to participate, with an emphasis on low cost, high-quality programs.  A pre-requisite of being a member of EYSA is to never turn away a student-athlete because their family cannot afford, or does not have the means, to pay.

The focus of the EYSA, in addition to sports, educational and extra-curricular activities, is to provide annual scholarships to deserving high school graduates to further their education at the collegiate level.  An annual scholarship fund has been established, on behalf of our participating member programs, through the Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation to honor deserving high school seniors for their athletic and more importantly, community service and academic achievements.

EYSA also works with member programs to offer facility opportunities for teams to be able to participate within their local community.  Facility opportunities include practices, tournaments and championship events, as well as future facility development.

The EYSA and its' member programs do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, religion, national origin, gender identity, genetic information, sex, or disability.

If your established program would like to become a member of the EYSA, please contact us directly for consideration!
